It appears the The Gilpin Casino Poker Room plans to compete for your business during the Colorado HPT event. The room will be holding some “special” events this month. The first event I want to tell you about is the $15,000 Fall Classic. Qualifiers will run from September 3rd to October 31st. The final tournament will be held November 4th at 2pm.

The second event I heard about on the radio. In order to qualify you have to sign up for their Aces Club. Once in the club you earn points for hours played that could win you entry into some kind of freeroll tournament. I only heard a snippet of the commercial, so I will have to get more info while I’m up there this week.

It pays to join the Aces Club. The Gilpin will be holding $50 Buy-in tournaments running October 1st-12th starting at 10am. Your $50 buy-in gets you 10,000 in starting chips with 6 twenty minuet rounds. Here’s the final kicker……Winner Takes All! The series is called “Down The Road Satellites Tournament”. The Gilpin normally holds some of the best tournaments in Black Hawk. If your in town for the HPT it’s not a bad place to check out.
