In honor of the Heartland Poker Tour returning to Colorado on April 1st I will be holding a tournament online at Full Tilt Poker. The tournament will be March 1st at 4pm eastern time. The buy-in will be $22 and for every 17 entrants 1 prize amount of $340 (amount of buy into main event satellite) will be paid into the winner(s) Full Tilt Poker account. So, if 34 people enter the top two places will be paid $340 each and so on. In addition to the player funded pool I will also pay out the next two places in the amount of $75 (main event satellite buy in). This is added to the prize pool courtesy of STA.
More details will follow once I receive confirmation from Full Tilt. I’ve put the request in and I’m just waiting to hear back from them about the approval of the blind structure and other minor details. The winners can use the funds as they please, but I really hope the money is used for the HPT event! If you do not have a Full Tilt account, please give a brother some love and sign up via my banner or one of the links in this post. If you already have an account you are still welcome to play. Spread the word! The more people that play, the bigger the prize pool and your chances.
The inspiration to hold this tournament came from my short comings for last years event. I wanted to play but due to a hectic work schedule I couldn’t make it up the hill. Black Hawk is about an hour drive for me and I just couldn’t find the time to play. I thought it would be nice to have an alternative. If this one proves to be successful then I’d like to have a tournament series with a leader board where players will play in a championship freeroll for a seat or seats. Keep in mind that I’m still waiting confirmation and this is subject to change. This is my first attempt at arrainging one of these so thanks for being patient.
I will post the name of the tournament and final details soon. Stay tuned and thanks for reading!
