The Heartland Poker Tour will be making it’s way to Colorado again next month and once again I will be out of town on business. I can’t say that I’m dissappointed though. I’ll be back in time to play some events but I’m going to sit this one out. My Grandmother is quite ill and April is shaping up to be a very busy month for me. I have had a chance to talk to some people who did play in the previous event and there were some complaints. Mostly about the blind structure and dumb ass play. It’s almost as though they thought the tournament play would be improved due to it being a “sponsored” tournament. I haven’t hear much about how the tournament was run…..good or bad. Let me know your opinions on this.

I think they’ve come up with a great concept but not being able to buy in directly to the main event just sucks. It would be nice for busy professionals like me to secure a seat and play one tournament over the weekend. I just don’t have the time to play satellite events through out the work week with Black Hawk being 1 hour away. I get a lot of page views based on the HPT events here in Colorado so I will try to gather some more information for you as time progresses. I also know that some people around here are talking about having a home game in which the winner(s) will get a seat to the main event satellite.
