I’ve decided to scrap the December contest. I’ve come to the realization that I just don’t have the readership to have regular contests right now. I apologize to anyone who’s been looking forward to it. I plan to focus on generating more quality content and this has all been a huge experiment for me. I’ve learned a lot in the last three months. I really need to decide what I want to come of this site and blog, but most importantly I need to put more effort into it. If you read my about page you’ll see that I really have a desire to give players in my area a place to get more information on games around town and up the hill. One thing I have been really excited about is the Heartland Poker Tour and I have no idea why. To be honest, I expected to make a little bit income from this site but it really shouldn’t be my main focus. You have to give in order to get which was the initial concept of the monthly contests.
With that being said, I’m working on an idea for the April HPT here in Colorado. Basically I am trying to figure out how I can give away a seat or two to a satellite event. Ideally I would like for it to be a freeroll online or maybe working with one of the local bar poker leagues to give away the prize. I’ll be working hard to have something established by the beginning of next year so if you guys have any ideas I would love to hear them. Thank you for support.
