Battle of the Blogger Tournaments 3 broke $20, 000 of prize money this week after 13 events have been played. The big news is that Full Tilt Poker has added another $2K seat to bring the total to 8 seats to the WSOP. It’s as simple as placing the BBT3 banner on your blog. Visit Dead Money to get all the details. As you know from my earlier post, I made it deep in my first ever blogger tournament when I finished 3rd in the Riverchasers.
I haven’t played Omaha 8 in over a year and I ran extremely well in this tournament. It was nice because lately I had been getting my dick kicked in. I managed to double up within the first 5 hands and lead the tournament the whole way to the final table.
Lucky Turn Card for me busts TripJax’s flopped set
Poorly played hand at the final table that lead to my demise. I should have re-raised Swimmom pre-flop but she had been playing aggressively and I thought I was trapping. I had a good redraw on the flop and I thought I was ahead of most of her range. Unfortunately I also told myself that there was no way she had A-8.
After that hand I managed to hang around but with ScottMc and I having 30k to Swimmom’s massive stack we had no chance. Scott finally busted me with the hand below.
I was a little sick after I busted out because Swimmom asked ScottMc if he wanted the seat to the TOC. I have to admit that I was a little pissed off at first but hey who am I to say anything. There have been a few bloggers who have pointed out how ridiculous this was given Swimmom had such a huge chip lead. She agreed to chop and give Scott the seat in return since she already had secured her seat to the TOC. Very nice of her. I personally don’t have a problem with this but as others have pointed out, I think she made a horrible deal. I would have started with 1st and 2nd place money and worked from there. It’s no secret that Scott is being backed in this thing. Was he heads up with his backer? Scott outed his backer and this wasn’t the case but what if this situation comes up. Should there be more discloser about backers especially now that the worst poker player ever is being backed? What are your thoughts? Does it even matter?

1I have no obligation to out my backer as it is a private deal that happens all over poker rooms everywhere. I will say that it is unlikely I will play my backer in the BBT3.. and if I did I would beat his ass. Period. I do not lose to anyone. Well at least on purpose.

2@sirwalgman Point taken. As you can see from my post, I really don’t have an opinion either way. Best of luck, but we all know luck isn’t part of your game
