Last night I played on Full Tilt Poker for the first time since 2005! I can offically say that I’m back on Tilt. I had been using Firepay to make deposits onto the site when Neteller was no longer an option for me. The transaction had went through and I was playing with my $100 deposit. Three weeks pass and I take my bank account down to $0 and end up closing the account. Firepay had not withdrawn the money yet and three weeks later had tried to make the withdraw. They then froze my Full Tilt Account and the rest is history. I was very displeased with the customer service of Firepay and was in a tough bind for awhile to pay them back. Out of spite and laziness I never took care of the debt with Full Tilt. I had a buddy transfer me some money on Tilt to take care of it all and I will be playing there more regularly. It was the site I started playing on and is one of the best out there.

I went bust a couple weeks ago on my Sit N Go challenge on PokerStars. I was doing well until I decided to get online after drinking all day with a friend from out of town. No big deal but now I’ll be limiting deposits to $25 each paycheck or $50 a month. If I go bust, oh well….I’ll have to wait until next week. Right now I’ve built my second $25 up to $63 and am about to move up to level 2 of my MTT SNG Challenge. Last night I played ten Sit N Gos and finished 1st twice, 2nd, and 3rd.

I started running pretty good which was nice because FCP was having another special promotion with PokerStars for the month of December where you only have to earn 100 FPP to be promoted to silver star status for the month of January. I achieved that fairly quickly but I don’t think it will do me much good. I don’t play high enough stakes to get 1500 FPP by the end of the month even if I am earning double. Busting also allowed me to a chance to use a re-load bonus Stars is having for using e-checks as well. So, while busting out on my challenge was bad and could have easily been avoided, I will have more motivation in the future. I was using a program to track my SNG progress but after using the trail version I didn’t think it was much better than some of the spreadsheets I’ve been able to find. I’m going to be looking into some of the programs that are featured sites here.

I have to say that I’ve been playing on PokerStars so long that the GUI of Tilt kind of annoys me now. I’m sure I’ll get used to it again, but right now my PokerStars MTT SNG Turbo Challenge is really starting to pick up. I’ll be playing with my FPP on Tilt until I can get a transfer from Stars to Tilt.

On a side note, I’ll be going on vacation next week to Jacksonville. It should be interesting considering they recently upped the stakes to allow $1-$2 NL. I started out playing $1-$2 Stud at The Poker Room in St. John’s County and I look forward to actually playing some Stud. The game isn’t spread much up the hill. I also get to be a complete jackass getting back to my roots playing some $1-$2 and $2-$2 limit. Whoooooooo! (Update: Looks like I’ll be able to play $5)

I’ll have the details for the upcoming tournament series I planned to have here at Sitting The Apple for the Heartland Poker Tour. I’m finalizing the details with the site and it’s taking a little longer than I had anticipated. I apologize for the delay.
